how was my weekend?

i had a wonderful weekend spending time with my Charles through Skype last saturday we talked for almost 5 hours straight--yeah you got that?? hehehe..--we didnt stopped talking not until we realized the time in his place it was like 3:30 in the dawn in there and he needed some rest for he was awake for about 30 hours straight (its because of his job why he had sleepless times)..oh how we missed each other... that was by the way the first time i saw him over the webcam for not seeing him in about two months time.. tsk tsk.. thanks to skype for i can view the cam in full screen.. here's one of his new pic which i took while we were chatting..

bicol express recipe

yahoo! i finally got a chance to google bicol express recipe.... my dearest ipo, if all the ingredients are available in there.. try to cook bicol express..

1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon garlic chopped
1/2 cup onions chopped
1/4 cup ginger fresh, chopped
2 tablespoons dilao fresh, (tumeric)
1 kg pork cooked and cut into 1/2 inch slices
1 1/2 tablespoon hot chili peppers (siling labuyo, chopped)
1 1/2 cup bagoong alamang
6 cups coconut cream
2 cups hot green peppers fresh (elongated variety), sliced diagonally into 1/4 inch strips
1 1/2 cup red bell pepper red peppers, fresh (elongated variety), sliced diagonally into 1/4 inch strips

Directions

Saute garlic in hot oil. Add onions and cook until translucent. Stir in fresh ginger, dilao, and the sliced cooked pork. Stir continually for 5 minutes. Add bagoong alamang and chopped hot chilli (siling labuyo). Stir until the pork is completely covered by the mixture. (about 15 minutes.) Pour in 6 cups of coconut cream and add the sliced hot green and red peppers. Continue cooking for about 20 minutes. Add salt if necessary.

Note: chillis and peppers to be added according to spiciness desired.

bicol express


bicol express is one of my husband's (Charles) favorite filipino food... he even checked the whole place in Fort Hood Texas just to look for a filipino resto to check if there's bicol express.. sad to say, he wasnt able to found one... i dont know what's in this food that he really craves for this.. i remember we had dinner at Max in North Edsa and i was the one who ordered for it.. and from then on.. he loves bicol express.. im not a bicolana but i do love their foods too.. im searching the recipe for this so that i can make one for my dear husband... if any of you should be kind enough to help me.. id be willing to accept.. whats with bicol express by the way? heeheheh..

preps for getaway

alright do i need to say that im excited? i think no.. i just have to shout it out to the whole world that im extremely excited for my b-day trip next week.. im excited but honestly i havent prepared anything yet.. i will be by the way goin to Bohol with two of my friends who will come from Mindanao.. sad thing is i dont have enough moolah this time to buy stuffs for the trip so ill be waitin till payday comes grrrr.. this really makin me hard to think and its stressin me, really stressin me.. of course, my husband will be there to support me with everything that ill need but im tryin hard not to ask anything from him.. heheheheh.. but my bullshit pay is not enough to have this trip.. so no choice but ask him.. so what will be my preps? gosh! cant think of it now.. but ill definitely have

hav to buy another havaianas mint green this time
bulky bag
bangles
nivea sun block
lots of wipes!


that's it so far... hehehehe.. im still thinking as of the moment...
